Captiva provides a full line of enterprise architecture and IT planning support.
Captiva helped a Federal agency create a plan for implementing an EA capability, establishing program governance, and supporting process execution. Our recommendations established the Enterprise Architecture framework used to manage EA artifacts and were used to modify the agency governance process. We are currently analyzing projects and technologies to plan evolution of architecture of a major Federal system.
Captiva principals led the EA analysis of cross-governmental terrorist screening procedures. Leading the methodology and analysis, the team cataloged independent procedures, documented business processes, and analyzed information flows and system interconnections to specify opportunities for integration across agencies. Principals have also supported planning for the merger of an independent Federal agency into a cabinet-level Department.
Captiva has provided support to ensure alignment of developed solutions to agency enterprise architectures. Our support includes analysis of data, service, and technical architecture for alignment to agency EA. Our methodology is to work closely with project teams early in the development process to bring projects into alignment as early as possible, reducing effort in the long run by reducing rework related to EA compliance.
Captiva provides EA governance support, including definition and operation of Architecture boards as well as system engineering support to integrate EA governance into a system development lifecycle. We provide process development expertise using a mixture of Six Sigma and other business process definition techniques to make sure processes reflect business requirements.
