We at Captiva respect your concerns about privacy and value the relationship we have with you. This Privacy Policy describes the types of personal information we might collect on www.captiva-inc.com should you choose to provide it, as well as how we may use that information, and with whom we may share it.

Information We Collect and How We Use It

In general, you can visit this website without telling us who you are or providing any personal information about yourself.

Captiva may obtain information (primarily name, contact information, area of business and title) about you in a number of ways:

In addition, Captiva provides technical advice, planning, and other information technology services to employee-users of our company customers. We may collect information about employee-users through our interactions with company customers on projects for which we are contracted. This information is used only in connection with those projects, and will not be used in other ways, such as to send marketing materials. We use Google Analytics to track user behavior on our site. Google collects individual level information and summarizes it for our analysis. We can determine some information about the user journey for customers who buy from us, and we use it to improve the purchase process.

Additional Information for Users Subject to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

Our customers’ personal information is stored on our servers currently located in the United States. The location of our servers may be subject to change. Our services are intended for customers in the United States of America (USA). We do not intentionally market or otherwise target users from outside of the USA. If you are a citizen of an EU member country, you have a right for us to delete your data from our servers.

Prior to implementation of GDPR, Captiva collected information from citizens of EU member countries via trade shows. We have since deleted all information of users from EU member countries from our servers. While some data may be contained in backups, our backup retention policy will naturally remove the records over time. We do not use information in our backups unless required to recover a failed system, and our restoration processes include steps to remove data we previously collected on individuals from EU member countries at the time of restoration.

You may ask us to remove data that we may have about you by sending an email to us. Include any identifying information that we can use to determine your identity. For most individuals, this will be an email address. We will retain information about your request for compliance reasons, but will remove all other information.

Occasionally we provide links to other websites for your convenience and information. These sites operate independently from Captiva and are not under our control. These sites may have their own privacy notices in place, which we strongly suggest you review if you visit any linked websites.
