From October 9 to 11, the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) is hosting their Annual Meeting at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC. Captiva will be demonstrating the Advanced Tactical Training System (ATTS), a product we offer as part of our Tactical Systems services, as part of the Military Battle Challenge. The AUSA is the biggest military professional development exposition in North America, with over 20,000 expected attendees. During this conference, thousands of members of the Army—including current service members, civilians, veterans, and family members join to network and discuss modern issues and news affecting the Army. About 750 organizations and 11 international partners will host exhibits over the three days to give fellow attendees a close-up look at their services, products, and upcoming events.

ATTS is the leading tactical training system on the market. Captiva will provide an overview of ATTS features and discuss how this system can greatly improve units’ training regimens while remaining cost-effective. Both inside and outside of the Army, ATTS can be structured to train service members for countless combat scenarios, such as active shooter, close quarters, combined civil response, and any other relevant scenarios.

This training system is incredibly realistic, with a variety of included components: command center, ATTS vest, mini machine gun, and more. ATTS allows service members to receive hands-on experience with targeting, firing, and providing field medical assistance without live rounds or real injury. The realistic combat experience provided by these integrated components helps deliver noticeable improvements fast, so that units are producing more well-rounded and highly skilled service members in less time.

The Battle Challenge is the newest action sport to be created by On•Target Challenge, producers of the internationally renowned Firefighter Combat Challenge. The Battle Challenge is a “Fire and Maneuver” contest pitting competitors against themselves and the clock to earn bragging rights and awards. Challenges incorporate highly relevant military skills and fitness challenges such as shooting targets, cargo net climb, rope descent, man-down rescue, and more. The laser-based ATTS system is used for the rifles and targets in the two shooting elements of the event.

Meet with Bob Rook and Chip Hulbert in the AUSA Battle Challenge area of the Exposition area to get hands-on time and an in-depth look at this revolutionary tactical training system. We will showcase the system’s unique features as well as discuss the system’s incredible cost-effectiveness and improved results. The system offers laser-based M4 and M16 rifles, IED sound simulators, mini-machine gun and .50cal simulators, and participants vests, all controlled from a central control panel over a self-contained network. With ATTS, units can train anywhere, anytime with unparalleled realism.

Captiva is excited to participate in the conference this year and connect with thousands of members of the Army community. We consider it an honor to provide our tactical training system services to Army members in the DC metro region and greatly look forward to helping units improve their training processes with ATTS.
